If you're looking for a craftsperson (potter, woodturn, metalworker, silk painter, and the list goes one), try contacting the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador. They also have a Studio Guide, in which many businesses, artisans and artists are listed, complete with contact information.
The Newfoundland & Labrador Arts Council is a clearing house for most artists in the province. There are umpteen other associations, guilds and groups, some regional, some provincial, many national and a few international. In the list below, you can find other means and ways of tracking folks down.

I just ‘Googled” Newfoundland Riverside Wool blankets and your query on Artists & Artisans in Newfoundland” came to my attention. My aunt just gave me two Riverside Wool blankets with the Nfld dog symbol on label. They were a wedding gift to her 50 years ago and were never used!!

I also “Googled” Newfoundland Riverside Wool blankets and found you. I recently came into possession of a Newfoundland Riverside Pure Wool blanket. It appears in mint condition and I would love to know more about it’s origin. Mine is cream with blue stripes along each end. Did you have any luck finding more about it? Any information would be appreciated. I bought it at a thrift shop!
